If you dress unusually at Disneyland, no one would bother because the people that go there have a soul (?) and it's a place to have fun, not fling your miseries at. Maybe someday have a blast at Disneyland AND feel awesome in lolita too!

Day 15 Of The 30 Day Lolita Challenge and Hello blog

I've now transferred all my posts from tumblr to an actual blog, yay! A picture of my last lolita purchase? How nosey! Nah... It's fine. Well, a seller on ebay was promoting their store by selling dresses, and I just happened to test if they were a scammer on the pink version of my dream dress. I ended up winning the dress, so I contacted the seller asking if they had the dress in black. After a while, they replied, saying yes. So now, hopefully I'll be at peace! The dress they have doesn't have puffy sleeves, but shoulderless sleeves instead, which I think is actually better.

It’s quite tough to place my lolita life in pictures because I don’t have much of one unfortunately. I’ll try! :)

Sometimes, I can’t resist the urge to dress up anymore. I end up lasting an hour or so before I feel empty dressing up at home. Rarely do I dress up for contests ( just once to find out how biased they all are).

An everyday escapade of gawking at little lolita lovelies that resulted in a total of $1,500 spending! Beware how tiny things you buy everyday add up!~ So that’s all I can give.

Day 10 Of The 30 Day Lolita Challenge

Today I’m going to talk about what’s in my bag. I don’t carry a bag when I go out because I don’t want to bother when I’m taking crappy public transportation. The only thing I carry is a reusable shopping bag. I’m just going to list things I would put in my bag.
1. My unreliable phone! If it’s not dead, I may need to use it for an emergency!
2.An mp3 player, though I have yet to find a cheap one on ebay that lasts.
3.The makeup that I’m wearing that day ( lipgloss, brown eyeliner, etc)
4. My notebook!
5. A book to read.
6. Maybe a snack…
7. My water canteen.
8. Hair band
9. Accessories I didn’t have time to put on.
10. There would probably be little souvenirs from places I go ( paper from a straw, packaged chopsticks, buisness cards)
So that’s what would be in my bag! I do have a perfect bag I received on my birthday but I don’t want to ruin it. My mom bought it as a not-exact replacement for the bag I used to have. I lost my previous bag somewhere and I NEVER got it back. Again, I hope you all had a splendid Lolita Day!

Day 7 Of The 30 Day Lolita Challenge

Today, I’ll list 10 people that inspire me in lolita.
1. Mana! He is the lolita god(dess). I love his signature color combination of black and blue! Very Ciel Phantomhive. Normally, black and blue is such a guyish combination, but Mana transformed it into something feminine! He even has his own brand!
2. Miwako from Paradise Kiss! Her personality and adorable hair are pure sugoii!
3. Kana! She is one of those people who had style that I admired before I even realized what lolita was.
4. Pullips! Again, I loved the fashion they had even before I realized what I really loved was the lolita. Pullips tend to have a more neo-lolita style though, which I find even more exciting!
5. Adora Bat Brat is a person that inspires me in general. I adore (pun intended) how she has her own style! She is such an extraordinary person! I love her!
6. Claire Belton! I always used to love to browse through her art on her old website, queenofdorks.com. Since long, long ago, I fell in love with an image she made for a magazine, and made it my desktop. Under the character’s feet, it says Angelic Pretty. Back then, I had no idea what that was, but it sounded so cool to me! To this day, that image is still my desktop!

8. Moss Garden lolita blog. I love how the creator links fairytale with lolita!
9. Dark Victorian lolita blog. Finally, I genuine gothic lolita blog! Love!

Day 6 Of The 30 Day Lolita Challenge

Today is day 6 of the 30 day lolita challenge. Today is about 10 things I can’t live without in lolita. Hmm.. That’s tough because first of all, I only wear lolita at home, and second of all, I’m not a completely stocked lolita to begin with… I’ll try!
1. Ebay! Most of my lolita clothing is from ebay! Ebay is awesome!
2. Milanoo! Honestly, I would buy all of their lolita clothing if I could! hehe…
3. F Yeah Lolita! Caro-chan is generously informative. I find that she helps me pick out proper lolita clothing with her countless tips!
4. Lolita blogs in general… They provide a great deal of inspiration for me.
5. Sewing needles and thread! You never know when you might need them!
6. Accessories! To me, no outfit is complete without some matching accessories..That means all my outfits have been incomplete… hehe…
7.Pullips! Believe it or not, they tend to provide inspiration for me, too!
8. Japan! Japan is the mother of lolita, so of course they have magazines and tidbits about lolita which provides lolita bloggers with some of the information that they give me sometimes! Also, Japan’s street style is totally inspirational!
9. That feeling I get when I wear lolita! Without it, I would feel so empty…
10. Myself! I need me to pick out the clothes that are meant for me and to pass judgement on exceptions.
I think I did a pretty job on this list, if I do say so myself. When I saw this challenge on the list, I wasn’t looking forward to it, but it helped me realize things that I needed to appreciate!

Day 5 Of The 30 Day Lolita Challenge

Today I am going to share 10 items on my “wishlist” even though I shouldn’t be wanting things. I find that that keeps happening and the clothes/accessories pile up. Am I the only one with that issue? Since I don’t necessarily have a mental wishlist (just an ebay one), I’m just going to browse through lolita brand websites and choose favorites.
1. Baby the Stars Shine Bright: St. Mephisto Cathedral One Piece In Violet

This dress caught my eye for two reasons; one: because I have a serious obsession with fairy tales and two; because I have another obsession with violet from one of my favorite bands, The Birthday Massacre. Ah, obsessions.

This coat from ebay is, to me, the best coat that I’ve ever seen. Unfortunately, it’s impossible for me to own it because the seller is a scammer. It’s pretty obvious that the seller bids on their own item to raise the price. No one else would want to accumulate that many bids, … right?

4. A skirt that I could never have…

Back in the day, my mom recommended this skirt from ebay to me, when it had light blue checkers instead of black. I didn’t appreciate the skirt, thinking that it was a waste of money, just too guilty to admit my enchantment (look at my money-saving techniques now). The bid for the skirt ended on my birthday, while I was having a horrid day out. By then, I had shown that I wanted that skirt, but when I got home late at night, it was too late. And from then on, it was only available at the expensive buy-it-now price. My mom tried to ask girldorock to place it in a bid, but girldorock would not. Alas, I could never have it. Now, it is only sold in black, in buy-it-now.
5. Another unreachable item for me on ebay…

This amazing dress was being sold on sale by ling_lam2005 at the time. My mom gave ling_lam negative feedback for an unsatisfactory item, and ever since, we were blocked from buying form the Little Chili Shop and the Little Chili Lolita Shop. Ling_lam 2008 claimed that they weren’t ling_lam2005, but what are the odds that two people with the usernames ling_lam block you from their stores with a one word difference in their names? Ling_lam claimed that they hadn’t blocked us, but we knew otherwise ourselves.Ling_lam offered us a deal to purchase  this dress and other items we wanted at the sale price without ebay, just paypal. We could never trust them. The sale ended, and ling_lam refused to sell us the items at sale price anymore. Ling_lam went on to say an item we wanted was out of stock on my size all the time. Why oh why did one of the dresses of my dreams have to be in the wrong hands? Ebay could never fix the block, further proving that it was no mistake.
6. A blue and pink split wig from MintyMix.

I asked Mintymix to make me one a couple of months ago, but so far I haven’t seen it on her website. I’m kind of glad since $50 is a small fortune for one item.

Day 4 Of The 30 Day Lolita Challenge

On to day 4 now. I’m quite content that F Yeah Lolita is now participating in this too! Today is 10 kinds of food you like.
1. Vegetables (Please no mushrooms, they’re fungus anyway) Everything from broccoli to bell peppers to cucumber to peas to … I could go on forever. Also truffles <3 if that counts as vegetables. I had the rare opportunity to try them once with rice. They were a great substitute for beef/lamb, like hearty stew. Their flavor is amazing!
2. Every fruit except watermelon and honey dew (TOO BLAND)
3. CHOCOLATE
4. Japanese food! (YAY SUSHI!)
5. Baked goods
6. Lebanese food of course
7. LEMON ON EVERYTHING!
8. Sweets.
9. Cake
10. Italian pasta dishes (spaghetti bolognese , fettuccine alfredo, pasta with marinara)

Wow! I never really noticed how lolita brands re-release their stuff before! Very intriguing and thoughtful of companies, but then again, most companies of anything reimagine what they’ve created. To me, the re-releases are for those who appreciated the previous concept, but wanted the overall product improved. I truly thank companies for swallowing their pride and editing their work. I love Caro-chan!

Day 3 Of The 30 Day Lolita Challenge

Today is day 3 of the 30 day lolita challenge. Today I am going to talk about 10 things I hate in lolita.
1. The fact that there are those mean girls among the lolitas.
2.  The prices.
3. All those pesky little no-no’s.

7. The loneliness without a fellow lolita in the “village”.
8. How sometimes lolita clothing makes you ignore your other spectacular clothing.

Today is the 2nd day of the 30 day lolita challenge. I’m going to list 10 things that I love about lolita today.
10 THINGS I LOVE ABOUT LOLITA ARE:
* 1. That wonderful feeling of fitting perfectly when I wear lolita, like I’ve found my soul mate in style form.

So today is the 1st day: 10 things about your lolita bubble…

1. My lolita clothing is just mixed in with my just plain clothes in my closet. I have yet to wear one item.
2. I was formally introduced to the lolita style through ebay (days of gawking at the best clothes ever).
3. I admired the art of characters in lolita from manga filler pages before I knew what lolita was. The dresses were just too cute!
4. I don’t think that there’s one single lolita within my “village”.
5.My mom definitely doesn’t mind me adoring lolita except for the fact that I don’t really wear it.
6. Pullips, an accessory-making section, dresses waiting to be altered, and little girly things around my room could signal to somebody that I’m a potential lolita enthusiast.
7. I just get items that catch my eye. There isn’t much of a general theme to my little lolita lovelies.
8. I love shoes; especially lolita shoes.
9.As a child, I despised wearing pants; I always wanted to wear purely dresses/skirts.
10. I generally slip on a shirt, jeans, socks, and conceal my little flaws, not bothering to bother because I just want to get my miserable day over with. Maybe, if my days weren’t so miserable, I would be decked out in OTT sweet lolita garb.

I’m looking forward to the next 29.

Writing

Ever since my English teacher gave me a notebook when she visited me in the hospital last school year, I’ve been writing about what happens in my life, daily.

So everyday, I tote around a notebook and pencil in my hands, no matter how silly I may look.

Sometimes, I’m behind on my writings, so they aren’t as “fresh”.

Sometimes, my writings are extremely fresh.

No matter how silly I may same, I’m usually equipped with my notebook.

I’ve gone through countless notebooks, writing every rambling.











    

Moss

   I don’t know the exact reason, but moss enchants me. Moss is a fuzzy, soft, subtle green, and ground-ridden plant. When you gaze upon it, you may take it for granted depending on how use to it you are.

“Ah, it’s just moss.”


But I appreciate moss more than most do. I admire the complexities in simple moss.

But maybe that’s just me, admiring everything. I find it so hard to accept the wonders of life. It’s all too much for me!

 

    Also, I am a absinthe fanatic. Ever since I was introduced to it from the second book of the amazing Gemma Doyle Trilogy ( Rebel Angels), I’ve been fascinated about the green fairy. It even appeared on my guilty comfort, Gossip Girl.

I love green things. I love nature. I love every color, just not in every hue.

Me

Though my tumblr name might suggest, I am not sour. I just have a passion for lemons. Lemon juice squeezed on everything. A typical Lebanese attribute, really. BUT, if I did have to describe myself as, well, a lemon, I would say that I was a meyer lemon, a lemon, but sweet enough. I love fashion. I love Japan. I love birds, cats, rabbits, mice, turtles, and little snakes. I love Alice in Wonderland. I love writing and reading.There’s alot more, but that’s sort of me. Also, why do so many bands have to disband? At least their music lives on. I love art.

Life is a journey in wonderland. Have I fallen down the rabbit hole?
